Todd Energy, a subsidiary of the Todd Group, is a producer of natural gas, providing more than 20% of New Zealand’s primary energy supply. Todd Energy is also responsible for operating and maintaining Todd’s generation assets, including gas peaking plants.
We are looking for an experienced and technically minded Asset Integrity Engineer to join our Kapuni based Production Operations team. Your expertise will directly influence risk mitigation across our facilities, moving us beyond simple maintenance to proactive reliability.

Reporting to the Lead Asset Integrity Engineer, your primary focus is to achieve the highest safety and reliability requirements by managing and optimising the integrity of all plant equipment.

About the role:
Reporting to the Lead Asset Integrity Engineer, your primary focus is to achieve the highest safety and reliability requirements by managing and optimising the integrity of all plant equipment.
Your core accountabilities include
- Driving the effective use of performance monitoring tools, such as Risk-Based Inspections (RBI), to anticipate and prevent equipment problems.
- Ensuring all asset integrity requirements and corrosion prevention measures are undertaken during routine maintenance and planned shutdowns.
- Performing and coordinating the inspection of pressure equipment , piping codes, heat exchangers, pumps, and compressors.
- Initiating integrity-related projects and driving the optimisation of degradation monitoring and mitigation activities to minimise risk.
- Performing root cause failure analysis investigations and assisting with incident investigations.
- Ensuring legislative compliance with standards like AS/NZS 3788 and AS 2885.
About you:

Key requirements for the role:
- An Engineering or related qualification paired with 5 years’ experience in the corrosion engineering environment.
- Proficiency with specialised assessment tools like NDT, radiography, vibration analysis, and thermography.
- Knowledgeable in performance management tools such as RCM, FMEA, and RBI.
- Knowledge of metallurgical and mechanical failure analysis and production chemistry.
- Familiarity with AS/NZS 3788 and AS 2885 , ensuring legislative compliance.
- Ability to create and sustain a reliability mindset in the organisation.
