Laboratory Analyst

The primary purpose of this position is to perform physical and chemical testing on materials and/or Dietary Supplement product samples, preparing the report and review data for release. Assistance with calibration and/or maintenance of instruments and review and updating of testing methods and operating procedures will also be required.

Experience and proven ability in the following:

• Perform physical and chemical testing such as loss on drying, peroxide value, acid value, unsaponifiable matters etc. A minimum of 2-year experience in wet chemistry testing is required.

• Prepare and analyse samples using instruments such as FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.

• Experience in GC, ICP or HPLC instrumental testing is a bonus.

• Possess good knowledge on chemical analysis and organic chemistry fundamentals; ability to understand terminology and principals in order to comply with analytical methods.

• Ability to release analysis results within the targeted timeline and produce accurate results under pressure.

• Be involved in LIR, validation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation as and when required.

• Conducting tasks in a methodical and thorough manner within scheduled timeframe.

• Assisting in day-to-day operation for regulatory compliance as and when required.

• Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and can work as part of the team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good computer literacy skills.
