An established and growing manufacturing business in the Waikato region is seeking a QA/QC Specialist to take ownership of quality systems, controls, and continuous improvement across the operation. This role is ideal for someone who brings energy, structure, and a genuine commitment to quality and customer outcomes. You’ll work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure products meet required standards and that quality processes evolve as the business grows.
This role has broad scope across quality assurance, quality control, and supplier quality. You’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining compliance, resolving issues, improving systems, and embedding best practice across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For:
- Qualification in quality, engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using ERP systems and strong MS Office capability (especially Excel)
- High attention to detail with strong planning and time management skills
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset

Quality Systems & Compliance
- Develop and maintain ISO-aligned quality systems
- Ensure processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry standards
- Support audits and lead risk-prevention initiative
- Inspect materials, in-process work, and finished products
- Maintain testing, inspection, and calibration procedures
- Partner with production teams to resolve quality issues
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct audits
- Manage material non-conformances and corrective actions
- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality records
- Track non-conformances, corrective actions, and KPIs
- Provide clear reporting to leadership
- Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA activities
- Investigate customer complaints and implement long-term solutions
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives
- Promote safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible practices
- Ensure quality processes align with HSE requirements
