About the role

Technology is not a support function, it is a strategic enabler of how we operate, scale, and deliver impact.

We are looking for a senior technology leader ready to step into broader enterprise accountability owning the design and evolution of our core business systems landscape, integration architecture, and data platform. This role brings together enterprise systems and data under one strategic leader, ensuring our platforms work together seamlessly and our data is trusted, accessible, and future-ready. You will sit at the heart of our digital transformation.

You will lead the strategy, architecture, and evolution of core SaaS platforms including CRM, LMS, Student Management, Finance/ERP, integrations, and data services ensuring they operate as a coherent, scalable ecosystem.

This role is focused on technology as business capability enablers. It is not an infrastructure or IT operations role.

You will design and implement scalable solution and integration architecture, enable clean and well-governed data, and drive automation across end-to-end business processes. Working closely with Digital Experience and IT Services, you will ensure systems are architected, integrated, and evolved to support growth, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategy and evolution of our core enterprise platforms CRM, Student Management, Learning Management and Finance systems
• Set the integration architecture that connects systems end-to-end across the organisation
• Lead the enterprise data platform, ensuring trusted, well-structured data underpins operational insight and decision-making
• Establish the technology and data foundations that enable automation, efficiency and future AI capability
• Lead a multidisciplinary team spanning enterprise applications and data engineering
• Infrastructure and IT operations sit separately, allowing this role to focus on strategic systems and data leadership.
• Own and evolve the enterprise technology roadmap and architecture
• Provide technology thought leadership across modern cloud, integration, and data platforms
• Lead data, integration, and AI enablement to support insight, automation, and scalability
• Drive engineering excellence across DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and release practices
• Lead and develop developers, architects, data engineers, specialists & 3rd party vendors
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and shared learning

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience across engineering or data, integrations, and modern platforms
• A blend of technical depth and architectural leadership
• Experience leading and uplifting technical teams and vendors
• Strong understanding of security, scalable solution design, and modern development practices
• Ability to simplify complexity and translate technical concepts for business leaders
• Curiosity, creativity, and confidence challenging legacy ways of working
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative leadership skills
• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
