Purpose
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and models that power reporting, analytics and machine learning across the organisation.
You will play a key role in shaping our data architecture and ensuring our data platform is reliable, performant and future-ready.
What you can expect
You will work across the full data lifecycle - from ingestion and transformation through to modelling and consumption - within a modern cloud-based data environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, building and maintaining scalable, production-grade data pipelines
Developing and optimising complex SQL transformations within Snowflake
Implementing dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting
Ensuring data quality through validation frameworks, testing and monitoring
Improving performance and cost efficiency within the data warehouse
Supporting near real-time and streaming data use cases
Enabling high-quality visualisation and reporting outputs in Tableau
Collaborating with data scientists to productionise machine learning workflows
Contributing to best practices in data architecture, governance and documentation
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with product, risk, marketing and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Our Data Stack

Automated machine learning tools (e.g. DataRobot)
Streaming and event-based data pipelines
To thrive in this role you will:
Take ownership of technical delivery from design through to deployment
Be passionate about leveraging data to create customer and business value
Apply strong analytical thinking to solve complex problems
Balance speed with engineering discipline and quality
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
You will bring:
2–4+ years’ experience in a Data Engineering role
Strong SQL skills, including performance optimisation
Strong experience working with cloud data warehouses (preferably Snowflake)
Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines
Experience with data modelling (e.g. dimensional modelling, star schemas)
Proficiency in Python for data processing and transformation
Understanding of data quality, governance and monitoring best practices
Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
