About the role

We are seeking a talented Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our team at McNaughton Consulting Engineers in our Grey Lynn, Auckland office. This is a full-time role that will see you working on a wide variety of exciting Architecturally focused projects in the residential and commercial sector, in Auckland and around the country.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting structural analyses and designing structural systems for new builds and refurbishments

• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions

• Preparing detailed calculations, structural drawings, specifications, and reports

• Providing technical support and advice throughout the construction process

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and regulations

• Observation of construction and preparation of site inspection reports

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

• Candidates with all levels of experience will be considered, however preference will be given to at least two years of post-graduate experience.

• Proficiency in structural analysis software ETABS, Space Gass or similar

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT an advantage

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

• Strong communication skills
