Customer Experience (CX) Manager
Calocurb
Positive growth at scale
- Grow a science-led supplement that is already changing lives worldwide
- Award-winning start-up: doubled revenue last year, and we are on track to do it again
- Fixed-term contract role, with a pathway to extend or convert to permanent
Why Calocurb? We’re disrupting the status quo in the wellness industry with our unique, patented, product: Calocurb is the world’s first natural, clinically proven GLP-1 activator that helps reduce appetite. It’s science and nature combined, designed for an age of overconsumption: this capsule, supported by 15 years of clinical research and $30m in development is an extract from New Zealand hops (Amarasate).
We have successfully transformed lives globally and improved wellness for thousands. We doubled revenue in 2024 and are on track to do it again in 2025. To fuel the next stage of growth, we’re building a powerhouse team across performance marketing, customer experience, and lifecycle and retention. Our digital growth engine needs proven experts at the wheel, as we accelerate into new markets, new channels, and new levels of growth.
The role Calocurb is a digital-first business, and our websites are the home of the brand: where consumers first encounter our science, engage with our story, and are most likely to make their first purchase. This role is responsible for ensuring first impressions convert into lasting relationships, by creating a world-class customer journey that turns traffic into conversion, conversion into retention, and retention into lifetime value (LTV).
We’re looking for someone to take full ownership of that experience across the US, NZ and future market entry. You’ll be setting the strategy and plan, and equally be hands-on with Shopify, CRO, SEO, and site performance, making sure everything works as it should, but also pushing for constant improvement. You’ll test, implement, and own the fixes that lift performance.
You’ll work closely with Performance Marketing to make sure campaign traffic converts, and partner across the team so customers start strong and stay engaged. It’s a role for someone who enjoys problem-solving at pace, who can dig into the details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
There's no such thing as a typical day in a start-up! Some of the things you might be working on include:
- Checking analytics from the overnight US trading window and flagging drop-offs that need action
- Designing and launching an A/B test to lift conversion on a checkout or landing page
- Digging into a Shopify update to improve speed, UX, or payments
- Taking campaign landing live, iterating at pace to hit CVR targets
- Owning insight transfer to the Lifecycle & Retention team: capturing preferences, tagging key events, ensuring clean data flows, and fixing any drop-offs!
What you’ll bring
- At least 5 years in senior e-commerce or digital roles, with proven impact driving site performance and conversion
- Hands-on knowledge of Shopify and confidence with CRO, SEO, AEO, analytics, and testing tools
- A track record of fixing problems quickly, rolling out improvements, and measuring the results
- Experience managing agencies and vendors, knowing how to set clear briefs and hold them accountable
- Detail-focused but commercially minded: you know the little things add up to big wins
- Energy, pace, and resilience: you like working where the stakes are high and results show up fast!
The deal This is a 6 month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to extend or transition to permanent as Calocurb continues to scale. We welcome both seasoned contractors and professionals currently in employment who are open to working on a contract-for-services basis.
