Sales Director - UK

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Director to lead sales in the EMEA market. As a key member of our growing team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, budgeting, and representing our organisation as a thought leader in the region. This role requires a unique blend of enterprise sales expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced startup environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in enterprise technology sales, with the ability to close six-figure multi-year contracts with large organisations. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to contracting, and developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in shaping our commercial strategy, exploring new business models, and providing valuable market insights to inform our global growth strategy. A deep understanding of the EMEA commercial market, particularly in the banking and climate sectors, combined with excellent communication and negotiation skills, will be essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Lead the sales function in the EMEA market, comfortable selling six-figure multi-year contracts to senior executives while operating in start-up hustle mode with the Cogo team launching new offerings in the EMEA market.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, leading the end-to-end sales process from qualification through to contract close, with excellent documentation and processes.
- Engage across a wider range of commercial and technical stakeholders; develop & nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in existing clients and prospects, notably with financial services partners.
- Play an active role in the closing of significant new deals, with a focus on senior stakeholder mapping/engagement and commercial/contract negotiations.
Strategic Leadership
- Represent the organisation as a key spokesperson within the region, including at targeted events and media opportunities.
- Provide EMEA-focused market insights and recommendations to inform the wider company growth strategy.
- Contribute to, and help manage the budget for all sales related activities in the EMEA region, in consultation with the wider team.
Commercial Strategy
- Explore new commercial models and strategies to support business opportunities in the EMEA market.
- Leverage your enterprise sales skills to support the global team with major contract negotiations, as one of the main commercial leaders at Cogo.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in enterprise technology sales.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of driving growth and achieving strategic business development goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of regional market dynamics and regulatory environments, with experience in the banking and climate sector.
- A mix of both start-up and corporate experience, with a customer centric mindset.
