Marketing Manager, In-Space Propulsion

As the Marketing Manager for In-Space Propulsion, you will craft and execute the marketing strategy to position our propulsion systems as the industry leader. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and market leadership. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and leadership teams to translate technical capabilities into compelling messaging for customers, investors, and stakeholders.
Description and key responsibilities
Lead Generation & Growth Marketing
- Build and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, LinkedIn, and industry events, to generate qualified leads.
- Optimize the company website and digital presence to convert visitors into customers.
- Translate complex technical concepts into digestible, engaging marketing materials for different audience segments (engineers, executives, investors, government agencies).
- Implement and analyze SEO, paid advertising, and outreach strategies to increase market reach.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Sales Enablement
- Support the sales team with customized pitch decks, case studies, and competitor analysis.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product positioning and future strategy.
- Align marketing efforts with business objectives, ensuring clear ROI and measurable impact.
Content
- Lead website content strategy, wireframing, and UX/UI enhancements to improve user engagement and lead conversion.
- Track website analytics and continuously optimize performance.
- Create high-impact content (whitepapers, case studies, blogs, social media, etc.) to communicate the benefits of our space propulsion systems.
- Develop technical marketing materials tailored to space industry decision-makers.
Industry Engagement & Community Building
- Develop and maintain relationships with key space industry media, event organizers, and influencers.
- Manage the company’s presence at conferences, trade shows, and networking events, ensuring high visibility and engagement.
- Drive PR and thought leadership efforts, securing coverage in key aerospace publications and media outlets or via conference talks and strategic partnerships.
Tools You’ll Use
- Content Creation: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace
- Campaign Management: Mailchimp, SEO tools
- Collaboration: Wrike, Slack, Microsoft Office
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, or related roles, preferably in aerospace, deep tech, or B2B technology sectors.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, engaging way.
- Proven experience in demand generation, content marketing, and PR within a technical field.
- Ability to work across brand strategy, demand generation, and product marketing.
- Ability to develop website wireframes and oversee digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with a portfolio of content showcasing technical marketing expertise.
- Ability to prepare, attend, and support teams for international conferences and events.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.) and ability to track/analyse KPIs to optimize marketing strategies.
- Experience managing relationships with external agencies, media, and industry partners.
Desired Experience
- Background in aerospace, engineering, or space technology.
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with SEO, PPC, and digital advertising strategies.
- Passion for space technology and an understanding of the evolving space industry landscape.
- Ability to create or proofread content in another language (French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, etc).

We believe this access, in the form of a transportation network, will fundamentally change what’s possible from space. We currently focus on two areas of space transportation:
- In-space propulsion
We're a leading supplier of turnkey green propulsion systems for various classes of satellites. Our system utilise safe, accessible propellants and we have over 111 of these propulsion units on 16 operational satellites already. A further 200 units are in production.
- Space launch
Our Mk-II Aurora spaceplane demonstrator has completed 50 successful flights and we recently completed campaigns utilising our in-house rocket engine. Mk-II is unique in that it combines the performance of a rocket and the rapid reusability and economic model of an aircraft.
Our international teams are distributed across four locations: the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the USA.
