Office Administrator
Dawn Aerospace
We’re looking for someone who can make a team feel unstoppable just by being in the room. As our Office Administrator, you’re the engine room and the emotional glue—keeping everything running smoothly while making sure our people feel welcomed, supported, and a little bit spoiled.
This role is less about rigid skills and more about attitude. You’re the kind of person who notices when someone’s had a long day and still make them feel special. You remember birthdays, organise Friday treats, and somehow make health & safety feel fun.
You’ll be embedded in our Christchurch office but working across two mission-driven teams and you’ll be essential to both. From onboarding new hires and coordinating flights to making sure the kitchen never runs out of coffee, you’ll be behind-the-scenes and at the heart of everything.
What You'll Do:
- Office heartbeat: Keep the kitchen stocked, the coffee strong, and the vibes good.
- Culture creator: Support social events, celebrations, and team-building activities with enthusiasm and flair.
- Guest experience lead: Manage visitor protocols with a warm welcome and professional polish.
- Accommodation champion: Look after our NZ apartment so international guests feel at home.
- Procurement & supply wrangler: Order supplies, manage merchandise, and coordinate with vendors.
- Onboarding sidekick: Help new team members hit the ground running with tools, access, and a great first impression.
- Facilities fixer: Keep our building services ticking—repairs, cleaners, and security all in check.
- H&S wizard: Ensure health & safety is active, visible, and never boring.
- Tech enabler: Coordinate with IT for new hire setup and asset tracking.
- Back-office brain: Assist with budgets, insurance paperwork, and keeping our systems tidy.
- Travel planner: Arrange flights, accommodation, and logistics like a boss.
- Event co-pilot: Help pull off internal and external events that bring the team together.
- Onboarding guru: Take ownership of bringing newbies up to speed.
- Compliance buddy: Track health & safety documentation like a hawk.
You Might Be the One If You:
- Are a natural organiser with a can-do, no-task-too-small attitude
- Thrive in a role where you wear 15 hats and keep them all balanced with a smile
- Love people—you enjoy making others feel seen, supported, and celebrated
- Have experience in admin, ops, or coordination—but more importantly, you’re practical, warm, and resourceful
- Get satisfaction from being the go-to person everyone relies on
- Know your way around tools like Xero, Office 365, Wrike, or can learn quickly
- Can juggle competing priorities, laugh when things go sideways, and find smart solutions fast
Why This Role Matters:
This isn’t a quiet desk job. You’re the unofficial morale officer, the silent fixer, the person who helps everyone else do their job better. When the team says, “I don’t know how we’d manage without them” - they’re talking about you.
We're a tight-knit, cross-functional team with a passion for building things that matter. If you're ready to be part of a bold, hands-on challenge that’s contributing to changing how space is accessed—let’s talk. And even if you think you have what it takes but are unsure that you check every box, we still want to hear from you.
