Posted on Aug 12, 2026

At Dawn Aerospace, we're building the future of aerospace.

From satellite propulsion systems to spaceplane development, our teams are tackling complex engineering challenges every day. Behind every successful team is a workplace that runs smoothly, and that's where this role comes in.

We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Facilities & Workplace Coordinator to help keep our Christchurch site operating safely, efficiently and effectively. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting workplace operations, facilities coordination and Health & Safety activities across the business.

You'll work closely with our Office Administration Team and partner with staff across the office to help create a workplace where everyone has the facilities, systems and support they need to do their best work.

This role is approximately 20–25 hours per week. We're flexible on how those hours are worked and are open to discussing arrangements that suit both the successful applicant and the needs of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play an important role in keeping our workplace running smoothly by:

  • Coordinating maintenance, repairs and workplace improvements.

  • Managing contractor access, inductions and on-site activities.

  • Supporting Health & Safety systems, audits, reporting and compliance activities.

  • Maintaining workplace records and following actions through to completion.

  • Working with teams across the business to solve problems and improve workplace systems and processes.

No two days are quite the same. One day you might be coordinating contractors and site maintenance, the next helping prepare for an audit, organising a workspace change, or supporting a Health & Safety initiative. If you enjoy variety, solving problems and taking ownership, you'll find plenty of opportunities to make a meaningful contribution.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, builds strong relationships and gets satisfaction from making things run smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in administration, coordination, workplace operations or a similar role.

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and following tasks through to completion.

  • The ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A practical, proactive approach and willingness to get involved.

Experience supporting workplace operations, facilities, office administration, project coordination or Health & Safety would be an advantage, but isn't essential. We're looking for someone with the initiative to learn, the confidence to ask questions and the judgement to know when to seek support.

Why Join Dawn Aerospace?

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in one of New Zealand's most exciting aerospace companies while enjoying genuine flexibility and variety in your work.

You'll gain exposure to workplace operations, facilities management and Health & Safety while working alongside talented people developing world-leading aerospace technology.

Every improvement you make, whether it's coordinating a site upgrade, improving a process or helping resolve a workplace issue, will directly support the people developing our technology and the environment they work in.

If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, building strong relationships and making a tangible contribution behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Dawn Aerospace, we believe that diverse teams build better solutions. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences are valued and supported to do their best work.

About Dawn Aerospace

Dawn Aerospace is a space transportation company with a purpose.
Our mission is to enable the next generation of space users by providing more sustainable and scalable ways to access and move around in space. We believe this access, in the form of a transportation network, will fundamentally change what’s possible from space. We currently focus on three areas of space transportation:

  • In-space propulsion
We're a leading supplier of turnkey green propulsion systems for various classes of satellites. Our systems utilise safe, accessible propellants and we have over 170 of these propulsion units on more than 40 operational satellites already. A further 200 units are in production.
  • In-space servicing
Coupled with our propulsion expertise, we are ensuring that our customers' satellites are refuellable. In the coming years, Dawn will offer a refueling service to enable life extension of customer satellites. This new market is aligned with our sustainability goal to ensue a clean and safe space for everyone!
  • Spaceplane
We are developing the fastest and highest-flying aircraft ever to take off from a runway, combining the extreme performance of rocket propulsion with the reusability of conventional airplanes to enable high-frequency, low-cost access to sub-orbital space.

Our international teams are distributed across four locations: the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the USA.
