Robotics will have a massive positive impact on the world economy and global human productivity over the coming decade. At Foxglove, we're excited for this future, and we're building powerful open source and commercial tools to accelerate it.
We're an experienced team of independent thinkers, with a passion for creating high quality products. We're looking for self-motivated and fast-learning individuals to join our mission.
About the role
We’re looking for a Technical Content Marketer to own Foxglove’s content strategy — shaping how the world learns about our products; how our community grows; to help design, build, and scale the tools that power the next generation of robotics development.
In this role, you’ll write, film, and produce content that bridges storytelling and technical depth: tutorials, blog posts, explainers, interviews, and event recaps. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and developer advocates to surface stories from within Foxglove and the broader robotics community — then package those stories into content that educates and inspires.
This role is perfect for a creator who thrives at the intersection of engineering, storytelling, and growth.
Location
Foxglove is a remote-friendly company, with employees spread across many locations. We maintain Pacific Time hours and hire within ±4 hours of U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration.
For this position, we're looking for someone located in San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities
Create world-class technical content — blogs, tutorials, videos, newsletters, and explainers that teach developers how to build with Foxglove.
Develop Foxglove’s editorial voice and narrative, ensuring every piece of content reinforces our mission and values.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevRel to identify meaningful topics, product updates, and customer stories worth telling.
Produce multimedia content — from short-form video and event coverage to live demos and interviews with robotics teams.
Manage an editorial calendar that balances product education, thought leadership, and community storytelling.
Track content performance across socials, SEO, AEO, and all distribution channels to iterate and improve.
Engage with our developer community, amplifying their projects and helping coordinate meetups, hackathons, and online discussions.
Distribute content across multiple channels, including the blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and newsletters — tailoring tone and format for each.
Leverage analytics to inform strategy — track reach, engagement, and conversion metrics to understand what content drives adoption.
Collaborate on launch campaigns, pairing compelling stories with product releases to grow awareness and excitement.
Champion developer experience internally, ensuring that documentation, tutorials, and educational materials are clear, accessible, and consistent.
What we’re looking for
Storyteller at heart: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical ideas into approachable, engaging narratives.
Technical fluency: 5+ years of experience in content, developer marketing, or DevRel — ideally with exposure to robotics, AI, or developer tools.
Content creator: Strong writing and editing portfolio — long-form articles, technical explainers, or educational video scripts.
Editorial judgment: Ability to prioritize high-impact topics and maintain consistent tone and quality across channels.
Creative experimenter: Comfortable testing new formats and approaches to reach developers authentically.
Analytical thinker: Uses data to evaluate performance and refine content strategy — SEO, engagement rates, conversion analytics.
Community-minded: Genuine enthusiasm for amplifying the work of engineers and researchers building in robotics and embodied AI.
Experience in video production, podcasting, or live streaming.
(Bonus) Familiarity with open-source communities, ROS, or robotics simulation workflows.
What We Offer
