Technical Team Lead - Remote within New Zealand

You’ll set technical direction, raise engineering standards, and drive continuous improvements in developer efficiency, tooling, and best practices. You’ll work closely with product, design, and other engineering leaders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions and to ensure work is well-scoped, well-executed, and aligned with broader company goals.
You’ll mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, and technical guidance, helping them grow while maintaining a strong delivery culture. You’ll also contribute to architectural decisions and step in to solve complex problems across our stack as needed.
This role balances technical depth, leadership, and execution, ideal for someone who enjoys guiding others while still doing meaningful engineering work themselves. This role is primarily leading Java backend work but works closely with our frontend and platform engineers.
