About the role

Halter is changing the face of pasture based farming and we’re looking for an exceptional marketing leader to join our team. We are more than a product - as our VP Marketing, you would be leading the marketing of a farming revolution. You will be focused on growing our brand and audience, ensuring everything we do resonates deeply with the global agricultural community.

You’ll be leading a talented team, marketing one of the most innovative, award-winning technologies in agriculture. Your team will unlock expansion through building awareness and inspiration and through establishing a reliable growth engine, balancing short-term growth with long-term strategic vision in a fast-paced environment. No two days will be the same, as you switch from supporting the team on execution, to working with the Executive on marketing goals and go to market strategy. You will be a champion for our customers and their cows, making sure we create the platforms to showcase their stories.

The ideal candidate for this role has experience in global companies, has led brand or marketing teams in the past, is a critical thinker and is hungry to get stuck in. If you never shy away from a challenge, are passionate about customers, and ready to take Halter’s marketing to the next level - then you could thrive in this seat. What your day could look like

  • Set the path for global marketing: We have a team of global and regional marketers, who are exceptional at what they do. You will be managing each function within marketing, ensuring a cohesive strategy from brand, to performance to product marketing. This includes managing a team of 3 direct reports, and a global marketing team of 17 people, and growing. You will be running an efficient team who aren’t afraid to push boundaries, be curious and create new paths to success. Lead a high-performing team and foster an exceptional culture.

  • Lead the Marketing function to deliver global revenue growth: You aren’t just "making things pretty." You are a commercially minded leader who views marketing as a core driver of company scale. Across all pillars of marketing you will use a data-led approach. From CAC and LTV to conversion attribution, you’ll use insights to pivot quickly and double down on what works.

  • Working with Performance Marketing to: Generate consistent lead volume, high lead quality and conversion through high impact marketing campaigns. Implement marketing ROI attribution reporting across campaigns, activities and channels. Leverage data from product and customers to inform a cohesive lead experience.

  • Working with Brand and Content Marketing to: Scale global content that educates and engages our target market. Increase creative velocity with continuous experimentation and iteration on creative assets. Implement regional marketing campaigns, working closely with the sales team. Review and adapt strategies based on brand awareness studies and on the ground feedback.

  • Working with Product Marketing to: Distill complex hardware and AI-driven software into clear, compelling value propositions that speak the language of the farmer, not the engineer. Be the catalyst for ongoing innovation, using trend analysis and data: What is shifting in our market landscape, what our future position might be? What are the macro-trends that could influence our market? Define customer segmentation and our ideal customer profile: go deeper on who our customers are, the language and imagery that resonates with them, why they pick Halter. This will be always on and evolving.

  • Cross-functional leadership: Own and communicate the marketing strategy and execution. Advocate for marketing priorities across Halter. Collaborate exceptionally well on complex, cross-functional priorities, building trust and rapport with other teams and leaders. Drive the maturation of Halter's marketing systems and processes, including refining the Halter marketing tool stack. Report on Marketing performance, key metrics, campaign ROI and market insights. Push Halter’s marketing beyond lead generation to more consistently consider the end to end customer journey.
