About Harth

Build the tool that helps people see their home before it's built.

Designing and building a home is one of the biggest things most people will ever do. The professionals involved (architects, designers, builders) bring deep expertise to the process. But homeowners often struggle to picture what they're committing to until it's already real. We're building the visual workspace that closes that gap, so the homeowner, the architect, and the builder are all working from the same view.

If that problem interests you, and the rest of this page sounds like a place you'd want to work, we'd love to hear from you.

What we're building

Every homeowner taking on a renovation or a new build is trying to answer three questions:

  • What's it going to look like?

  • How much is it going to cost?

  • How long will it take?

Harth is the visual workspace built to answer them. Homeowners can upload a 3D model from their architect or a photo of their space, generate photorealistic renders that preserve the real architecture, swap in real materials and products, and share the result directly with the team they're building with.

The result is a shared reference everyone can work from: the homeowner, the architect, the designer, the builder. Less translation. Better decisions. A better project.

What we're building today is the start of something bigger. A home is the most important asset most people will ever own, and almost none of the tools for it have been built yet. We're starting with the design and build phase because that's where the gap is widest and the impact is clearest. Where we go next will be earned.

We're backed by Blackbird Ventures, Icehouse Ventures, Side Stage Ventures based in Christchurch, and heading toward beta later this year.

The Role

You'll own how Harth shows up in the world. The accounts people follow, the content they save, the videos they send to their group chat, the search results they land on when they're dreaming about their first home or planning a renovation. All of it.

Why are we hiring a Growth Marketer?

The product has the makings of something special and impactful and the brand foundations are in place. We're starting to let homeowners, architects and other professionals into the product now. What we don't have yet is a consistent, distinctive presence on the channels where homeowners actually spend their time so they become aware of Harth.

This is the role that fixes that. Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, our website, SEO, Chat GPT, paid, whatever comes next. You'll be the first growth hire and you'll have real ownership from day one.

We're hiring one person to take the growth marketing function and run with it. As the work grows, we'll hire around you to complement what you do best. Done well, this is the role that becomes a team, with you leading it.

If you've spent the last few years quietly thinking you could do better growth marketing, socials and content work than most of what you see in your feed, this is the role to prove it.

What you'll do:

  • Build the content engine. Map out the channel strategy with the founders. Decide what we're saying, where we're saying it, and how often. Then make it happen.

  • Create the content. Posts, short-form video, landing pages, SEO content, whatever the channel needs. You're not briefing this work to an agency. You're making it. Comfortable across creator tools (Figma, Affinity), social production (Figma Buzz, Canva), video generation (Jitter, Veo), and equally happy on the whiteboard, on camera, or on the keyboard.

  • Run the channels. Post, optimise, learn, repeat. Read what's working, kill what isn't, double down on the formats that earn attention. Bring back insights the rest of the team can act on.

  • Experiment and measure. Bring ideas, run small tests, review the data and measure impact, scale the ones that land. Podcast series, collabs, new platforms, things we haven't thought of yet that reach our target audience.

  • Set the visual bar. Harth has strong brand foundations. You'll be one of the people responsible for keeping the work on-brand and on-taste, every post, every frame, every page.

What we're looking for:

  • At least three years of relevant experience. That can include running socials for brands or clients while you were studying, as long as the work was real and the results were real.

  • You're a native on social platforms. You live on Instagram and TikTok. You can tell within three seconds why a video is working or why it isn't. You have opinions about creators, formats, and trends, and those opinions are usually right.

  • You have a designer's eye. Maybe you studied design, interior design or architecture. Maybe you didn't, but the work you make looks like you did. Either way, taste is non-negotiable. You'll recognise this bar in the brief and the brand work we'll share with you.

  • You love the craft of marketing and pursuit of growth. The combination of visual craft and commercial instinct is the ideal mix for this role. You love finding and reaching our target audience and delivering something of real value to them.

  • You're equal parts creative and organised. The creative part shows up in the work. The organised part shows up in the calendar, the tracker, reviewing results, the post-mortem after a campaign. Both matter.

  • You're hungry. You want to be great at this. You read, you watch, you study what good looks like, you push your own bar.

  • You want to be a big part of Harth. Pace, autonomy, AI-first, in-person in Christchurch, small team. The full description is on the careers page.

Before you apply:

  • You are genuinely interested in homes, architecture, interiors. If your saved folder on Instagram is full of houses and you enjoy Grand Designs, that's a tell.

  • You have experience growing an audience from scratch, even a personal one.

  • You are comfortable making content, on camera or behind it.

  • Experience running paid social, boosting content, or managing influencer and creator collaborations. If you've spent real money on Meta or TikTok ads and seen what works, tell us about it.

  • You're actively using AI tools to make your work or life better, not as a novelty. If you can't remember the last time you opened ChatGPT or Claude, this is not the role for you.

  • You have an understanding of how SEO, paid socials, and creator collabs works.

What we offer:

  • A product space that’s actually interesting. Homes are personal, visual, expensive, and emotional. The marketing problem is interesting because the product is. You won't be selling a dashboard.

  • The first growth hire. That means real authorship. The voice we use, the channels we win on, the brand people meet when they discover us. You'll shape it and it will carry your fingerprints for years.

  • A team that takes brand and product seriously. A small group of people doing strong work. Co-founders who care about product and brand as much as you do. Brand and product foundations already in place for you to build on, not fix.

  • Room to grow with the role. Done well, this becomes a team with you leading it. The arc is real and we'll back you to walk it.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 (offers depend on performance during assessments).

  • Generous stock options: you'll own a meaningful part of Harth

  • Relocation support: if you're not in Christchurch yet, we'll support the move.

How to apply:

  • Send us an email: [email protected]

  • Include a short note on why Harth, why this role, why you, include your CV or LinkedIn Profile.

  • Links to social accounts you run or have run. Personal counts. We're looking for evidence of consistent posting and at least 1,000 followers on Instagram or equivalent traction elsewhere.

  • Three to five pieces of content you've made that you're proud of. Posts, videos, campaigns, landing pages, anything.

  • Anything else you'd like us to see.

Harth is an equal opportunity employer.
