About The Role

We're hiring a Sales Development Representative to join our Growth team selling the HeartLab product, our cloud-native imaging solution for cardiology. In this role you’ll be responsible for the outbound engine of HeartLab sales, focused on the US Market. Your core focus will be to create & capture demand for our products from cardiologists & healthcare professionals who could benefit from our products – booking & conducting product demos and creating sales opportunities. While we think sales development is fun - this role is not for the faint-hearted and tenacity and persistence in the face of rejection is an absolute must for top of funnel sales success. Since we’re a startup, you’ll also have the unique opportunity to get involved in a variety of aspects outside those of a traditional SDR role at a larger more established organization. This includes involvement in helping improve our sales operations and processes. Some day-to-day things you’ll work on in the role are:

  • Using prospecting tools, search engines, and other research tools to find prospective customers for targeting.
  • Using email, phone & other channels to reach prospects and begin sales conversations by moving them into a discovery & product demo.
  • Receiving inbound leads, demo requests and other sales enquiries to capture leads while their interest is fresh, and book them into product demos.
  • Following up with prospects with the ultimate goal of converting them into a qualified sales opportunities.
  • Building positive relationships with prospects, both on the phone, digitally, and on occasions in-person (such as at conferences & events).
  • Conveying & communicating to cardiologists, other clinicians, business administrators & other personas the value proposition of HeartLab, and of moving on-premise systems to the cloud.
  • Being an advocate for prospects internally, passing along field information to product & engineering, and across other departments informing what we build.
  • Creating, recommending, and building out internal tools, processes, documentation, knowledge articles, and best practices for the sales development function.

If you’re experienced in sales, retail, hospitality, or another customer facing role, are tech savvy (medical imaging or healthcare technology space a bonus) and want to grow a career in tech sales, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' professional experience in sales, retail, or another customer facing role
  • Understanding of the sales process (ideally in the SaaS industry) and selling strategies
  • Ability to understand needs and motivations of different buyer personas
  • Strong motivation & drive to consistently meet and exceed sales demo quota
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and high degree of professionalism working with prospects in the medical industry
  • Strong attention to detail, and outcome focused approach to your work
  • Self-starter, with a willingness and ability to learn quickly on the job with limited direction and supervision
  • Comfortable & flexible working remotely, and across US time zones
  • Working knowledge of the cardiology, healthcare technology or medical imaging space preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Salesforce, sales execution tools, medical imaging hardware/software, a bonus, but not required
  • SaaS experience in the healthcare or medical industry also a bonus, but not required

Location: Remote, USA (Pacific or Mountain time)
