Hydroxsys™ is securing the future of water through its revolutionary polymer membranes. Designed and built tough to withstand the extreme conditions where previous membranes fail, Hydroxsys™ membrane technology enables our clients to treat their waste streams cost-effectively while contributing to reduced CO2 emissions and enhancing environmental compliance. In a world where only half of wastewater is treated properly, and where existing practices contribute as much greenhouse gas emissions as the aviation industry, we need new solutions to how we treat and manage our wastewater resources. 170 trillion liters of wastewater re-enters the environment every year without adequate treatment—enough water to irrigate 40 million hectares! Wastewater discharge is impacting freshwater resources, with groundwater quality deteriorating across all geographies and demographics. So when 40% of all people on Earth will face freshwater scarcity within the next decade (according to the UN and World Bank), it's clear that doing the same thing will not deliver the outcomes we need. When our world is dominated by climate change and carbon reduction, one thing stands out as presenting an even bigger threat: a more existential threat. And it is something that is connected to climate change, greenhouse gases, and every living thing. It is something we all rely on without thinking about every single day. That thing is water. And that is why Hydroxsys is on a mission to secure the future of water. Because without water, good quality fresh and accessible water, the way we live and life itself is in danger.
