Onside is transforming the rural sector with cutting-edge operations, compliance, and risk management software. More than just SaaS, we’re leading the charge in biosecurity – empowering rural communities to grow while protecting the world's food supply. Trusted across Australia and New Zealand, we’re now gearing up for global impact.

We play to win – setting ambitious goals, holding high standards, and working smart while valuing balance. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, you’ll feel right at home.

We’re on the hunt for a Digital Product Designer to join our team, reporting to the Head of Product. You’ll bring strong product and digital design skills and a hunger to keep growing. This role offers real variety – from marketing websites and assets to crafting our core web and mobile app experiences.

Do you love creating seamless, user-friendly, beautiful products?

As a Product Designer at Onside, you’ll help shape intuitive, purposeful, and delightful experiences. You’ll understand user needs and business outcomes, bringing creativity, design flair, and technical skill to everything you create.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Head of Product on both product and marketing projects
  • Design and deliver UI mock-ups, interactive prototypes, MVPs, and polished final products
  • Create digital and print assets for campaigns, including social media and promotional materials
  • Produce internal design collateral like presentations, enablement tools and educational content
  • Support the marketing team with brand design, website updates, and creative direction – we all muck in when needed!

What You Bring

  • A degree in Digital Product, UX/UI Design, or a related field
  • Intermediate experience in UX/UI design with a drive to grow fast
  • A learning mindset – open to feedback and eager to upskill
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Miro (or similar)
  • Strong communication skills – able to collaborate with customers and teammates alike
  • A team-first attitude – you enjoy working with great people and celebrating wins
  • Curiosity – you’re open to experimenting with new tools and technologies (like AI) to enhance creativity and efficiency

Bonus Points For:

  • Graphic design experience
  • Experience conducting or supporting user research
  • Familiarity with design systems
  • Make a difference – we’re purpose-driven and solving big problems in food security
  • Grow fast – a high-performance environment with regular feedback, support, and learning
  • Be valued – autonomy, flexibility, recognition, and a team that has your back
  • See your impact – from improving rural operations to protecting global food systems
  • Have fun – great coffee, Friday drinks, free fruit, and plenty of team celebrations
  • No red tape – take ownership and get stuff done
  • Work from our central Christchurch office - dog-friendly and surrounded by top lunch spots
