Role Description:

As an IT Systems Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, maintaining and improving the technology infrastructure that supports OpenStar's mission. You will be responsible for managing our IT systems, providing technical support, and coordinating with external partners including our cybersecurity providers. This hands-on role will require a blend of technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving skills.

This is a part-time position 0.4 FTE with the potential to expand as the company grows.

Experience from the fields of IT systems administration, technical support, networking and cyber security will all be considered positive towards your application, and there will be some flexibility to shape the role around the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IT infrastructure to support OpenStar's operations
  • Oversee relationships with managed IT support services provider and cyber security consultants
  • Provide responsive technical support to staff across the organisation
  • Implement and document IT systems and processes
  • Manage domain infrastructure and email systems
  • Analyze and improve IT service delivery

Requirements

  • Experience in IT systems administration or related technical role
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating technical projects
  • Experience maintaining network infrastructure
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (deeper security expertise is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical staff
