We're Quashed and we're making it easy for Kiwis to explore, shop and track all their insurance in one place! We're NZ's first and fastest growing insurance marketplace. Our goal is to create the simplest, most transparent and engaging insurance experience to empower consumers to protect them and their families financially.

What is this role

This is a UXUI Designer (Intermediate/Senior) role at Quashed. As a UXUI Designer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and intuitive user experiences and interfaces for our digital insurance platform. You will work closely with a small and highly capable team to understand user requirements and translate them into user-centered designs.

Who we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a UXUI Designer
  • Demonstrable portfolio of UXUI design projects
  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Knowledge of user research and usability testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Works independently & efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Eye for detail & able to create effective design that support product goals
  • Experience designing for mobile & web apps (eCommerce or Marketplace ideal)
  • Skilled in using mixpanel and Fullstory to understand user behaviour
  • Takes ownership of design system

We're after an individual that will take charge and lead the design work stream. You'll work closely with our Product Lead and Tech Lead to solve problems and create the best online insurance experience possible.
