• Own and maintain our Infrastructure as Code frameworks, incrementally migrating resources into IaC, refining modules, and addressing technical debt
• Design and implement Azure networking architecture including VNets, private endpoints, NSGs, WAF, and Azure Front Door or similar edge protection services
• Ensure applications are correctly isolated following secure-by-default cloud principles
• Manage the lifecycle, patching, configuration, and monitoring of Platform-owned VMs and self-hosted services including our CI/CD agents
• Diagnose infrastructure-related performance issues and incidents, providing deep analysis and driving long-term improvements over reactive fixes
• Refine and automate Azure cost and operational reporting, identifying meaningful optimisation opportunities and surfacing architectural risks
• Review and evolve our edge services strategy, influencing platform-wide architecture decisions relating to security, performance, and scalability
• Promote strong tagging, governance, identity, and policy standards across cloud resources
• Participate in the Engineering Team's on-call roster
• Use agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude) to accelerate delivery while maintaining high accuracy in IaC, documentation, and analysis tasks

• 10+ years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure — networking, identity, private endpoints, monitoring, and cloud security best practices
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience including module design and multi-environment structure (we use Terraform)
• Experience maintaining VM-based CI/CD infrastructure and platform tooling (we use Azure DevOps with a mix of Azure + self-hosted agents)
• Understanding of distributed systems, performance optimisation, observability, and incident analysis
• Ability to script or program in one or more languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
• Experience operating in SaaS with a cloud based production environment
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted workflows
