What You'll Be Doing:
Content Creation:
- Crafting engaging and hard-hitting articles for our blog, focusing on a range of topics, from interest rates and the housing market to first-home buyers and investing opportunities.
- Conducting interviews with our CEO, COO, and team members, transforming complex financial insights into accessible, digestible content that aligns with our brand.
- Writing case studies, articles and how-to guides, ensuring all content reflects the Squirrel tone of voice and brand values.
- Owning and developing a quarterly content strategy including PR opportunities to drive business success.
Internal Communications:
- Designing and executing an internal communications program that fosters engagement, keeps the team informed, and reflects the vibrant Squirrel culture.
- Managing company comms through emails and intranet updates as well as organising the annual company conference.
- Working with the wider marketing team to ensure internal communications align with company values and brand culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in content writing, journalism, or PR with a keen interest in the finance sector. Experience with internal communications is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging content. You’re a self-starter who can manage multiple projects at once and take initiative.
- Mindset: Creative, detail-oriented, and proactive. You should be comfortable interviewing people from all walks of life and have a strong sense of brand and culture.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with a website CMS is useful.
- Passion: A genuine interest in financial services, content creation, and internal brand-building initiatives affecting company culture.
