About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer to take ownership of how Tapi connects with the outside world. From building and launching new partner integrations to refining legacy ones, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Tapi works beautifully with other platforms—and does so reliably, observably, and scalably.

You’ll work across integration builds, error handling, documentation, and partner onboarding. If you're equally excited by crafting APIs and creating playbooks, and love making things "just work" (even in the weird edge cases), this is your chance to leave a lasting mark.

What You’ll Do

• Integration Build & Launch: You’ll assemble partner workflows in Prismatic (or another embedded iPaaS), build custom components in TypeScript or Python, and create lightweight API adapters when low-code solutions aren’t enough.
• Reliability & Observability: You’ll ensure every connector is designed with reliability in mind—idempotency, retries, and graceful fallbacks baked in. You’ll wire up monitoring to ensure we find problems before our users do.
• Documentation-First Delivery: You’ll produce clear, accessible integration specs, sequence diagrams, and runbooks—and keep our internal Integration Playbook updated with naming conventions, patterns, and troubleshooting guides.
• Partner Onboarding & Growth: You’ll own the technical onboarding for each new partner—from API discovery and data mapping through to rollout and ongoing optimisation. You’ll also refactor legacy connectors to improve reliability and simplify maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong TypeScript or Python skills (bonus points if you’ve got both)
• Solid experience working with APIs—REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth 2.0 / JWT, pagination, rate limiting
• Familiarity with Prismatic or another embedded iPaaS—or the appetite to become a fast expert
• Sound testing habits, including unit, contract, and end-to-end test automation
• A proactive observability mindset—you write alerts that matter and logs that tell stories
• A knack for writing documentation people actually read (and want to update)

• New integrations shipped: Multiple partners live, with <0.1% error rates and clear dashboards
• Playbook published: Your Integration Playbook v1.0 is the go-to guide for engineers and support
• Legacy connectors renewed: Incident frequency halved, maintenance overhead reduced, and documentation coverage doubled
