We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace - a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives. At Tracksuit we consider a unique perspective, diverse experience and a growth mindset to be of greater value than ticking every box on a JD. If you think you have what it takes but don’t have the exact experience we’ve set out, please still get in touch and apply. We’d love to chat!
At Tracksuit we provide beautiful, radically affordable, always-on brand tracking which is easy to use compared to traditional methods. We recognise that sounds like a ton of buzzwords for marketers, so what it really means is that we did over 50,000 surveys last month to find out what real humans think and feel about the world’s best brands and their competitors. Check us out here: www.gotracksuit.com 🙌
Are you our next Engineering Team Lead? We’re on the lookout for an Engineering Team Lead to join Tracksuit. You’ll be responsible leading our engineering efforts, which includes:
- Working with product and design: supporting product discovery, talking to customers, engaging with the wider business, shaping a team strategy, and collectively defining the roadmap.
- Leading engineers: Managing, mentoring, and coaching the engineers in the team.
- Rituals and ways of working: Owning the rituals and processes within the team.
We’re looking for an Engineering Lead that is:
- Based in Sydney or Auckland and has 5+ years working in a similar role.
- Experienced technical leader: Someone who is a developer, with experience across a range of technologies. These might include: React, NodeJS, Typescript, Java, Python, Postgres, CDK, and AWS (or another cloud provider) across different projects. You’ll have experience in designing, building, deploying and operating complex applications.
- Entrepreneurial and product-focused: Someone who can think holistically and commercially: who takes an interest in the wider business. You’ll be able to collaborate with product managers, designers, and customers, as well as have the ability to focus on business outcomes and engage in discovery, not just implementation.
- Experimental: Someone comfortable testing and iterating on ideas using a structured approach. You’ll have demonstrated experience assessing multiple solutions for a problem with various implementation approaches, and you’ll be data driven to guide your recommendations.
- Curious and a leader: You’ll be curious to discover new opportunities, grasp new technologies, and figure out whatever you need to drive growth. You’ll be a leader for other engineers in the team and be able to support and drive a team technically and commercially; You’ll have experience in coaching developing, and managing engineers, as well as having demonstrated ability to prioritise work.
- Kind: This is such a collaborative role that we ultimately want a great, collaborative and supportive team player.
We think this role is exciting because you’ll have ownership over decisions to design the technical solutions that work: You’ll be responsible for architecting and designing scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
- You’ll be able to think entrepreneurially, focused on business outcomes: You’re not just shipping features. You’re working in team to drive acquisition and activation. That means you get to create a strategy, think holistically, and do whatever is needed to drive an outcome.
- You get to be experimental: designing experiments, trying new approaches to solve problems, talking to customers, doing discovery, sitting alongside product and design, and implementing solutions.
- We don’t have a roadmap dictated to us: you’ll have high-level business goals and outcomes, but it’s up to you to define the problems and solutions.
- We’re backed by product-legend Lenny Rachitsky: founder of Lenny’s Podcast and Lenny’s Newsletter. In Lenny’s words: “Across the thousands of startup decks I've looked at, I've almost never seen a growth trajectory like the growth Tracksuit has seen.”
At just over 3 years old, we're incredibly grateful and excited to be working with over 600 epic brands across AU, NZ, USA, Canada and the UK.
Tracksuit’s vision is to be used in every strategic growth conversation for the best consumer brands of today and tomorrow. We’re doing this by becoming the common language to measure and communicate the value of brand building. We've built beautiful, always-on, radically affordable brand tracking — taking an old-school, $100k+ market research product and making it 10x easier to use and 10x more affordable.
We’re a tight-knit, supportive, and ambitious team, driven to empower companies to use brand to drive success. Our culture thrives on complete transparency, trust, learning, and constant development and improvement.
Underpinning the experience are our great benefits, including:

We provide flexibility in our approach to working options and will work with you to find the right balance and approach to WFH/in-office work.
