This is a permanent role, strictly based in Wellington.
He angitūtanga: About the Role
As our Technical Operations Analyst, you will lift day‑to‑day ICT service performance while improving how we work through streamlining processes, strengthening BAU, and translating evolving business needs into a clear, prioritised backlog for future releases. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Keep core services stable and performing, including contributing to critical incident response and meeting agreed service levels.
- Run the change/release cadence end‑to‑end by assessing impact, schedule effectively and completing post‑implementation reviews to safeguard BAU.
- Maintain clear, current operational knowledge to support procedures, knowledge base articles and ensure new/changed services are BAU‑ready.
- Spot and deliver practical BAU improvements (automation, tooling and workflow optimisation).
- Coordinate product introductions and routine upkeep such as patches, upgrades and defect fixes.
- Support change and user adoption, and help retire legacy systems through managing dependencies, data migration and business impacts.
- Work closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues, manage escalations and lift service quality.

We are looking for proactive operator who improves how things run, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical people, and makes change stick.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3+ years' experience in enterprise IT operations/support.
- Practical ITSM know-how: incident, change and acceptance into service.
- Experience in the technical change and release processes, and supporting review functions
- Comfortable engaging customers and vendors to turn needs into a prioritised backlog.
- Proven at working with end users and business owners to improve service outcomes.
- Strong documentation skills: clear, plain language processes and configurations.
- Understanding of technology lifecycle management and decommissioning considerations.
- Experience supporting change/adoption for new or retained technologies.
- Awareness of information management, data quality and operational reporting.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $90,956 and $107,007 based on demonstrable skills and experience.
