We are looking for a degree-qualified engineer to join us as a Technical Sales Engineer. The role blends sales and engineering, and we encourage mechanical or mechatronics engineers interested in customer-facing work to apply. It is a hands-on position working closely with customers, contributing to product development, and delivering practical engineering solutions.
We also welcome expressions of interest from engineers with relevant experience who are keen to contribute as the business grows.
We are a Wellington-based sales engineering business with nearly 40 years of experience. We supply equipment, parts, and engineered solutions, along with repair and maintenance services, across the fuel, aviation, and petrochemical sectors. Our work spans refueling infrastructure, tank truck builds, fuel storage, and dispensing systems. We operate nationwide, supported by long-standing customer relationships and strong technical capability.
What you’ll be doing
Technical and engineering work
Provide technical advice on product selection, design, and application
Develop drawings and models using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or similar)
Support the design, development, and improvement of products and engineered solutions
Assist with technical documentation, specifications, and supporting information for quotes, tenders, and projects
Support fabrication, assembly, testing and troubleshooting of products and our engineered solutions
Sales and business development
Build strong relationships with customers and industry partners
Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, and applications
Visit customer sites to understand operational needs and identify improvements
Prepare proposals, quotes, and technical solutions
Contribute to business growth strategy and market development
Product Development and Technical Improvement
Assist with research, development, and implementation of new product concepts and technical solutions
Identify opportunities for product improvement based on customer feedback, operational experience, and market needs
Participate in product testing, prototyping, and evaluation to support product development
About you
University-qualified in engineering (mechanical or mechatronics preferred)
Strong technical foundation and practical problem-solving ability
Confident communicator who enjoys working with customers
Interest in both engineering and commercial outcomes
CAD experience
Self-driven, adaptable, and keen to take ownership
