About the role

This is a role with a lot of variety and scope for taking on more responsibility and challenge if you can handle it. Our current Accountant is going on maternity leave, so this role is to cover part of her role, and also the role of our AP Assistant who has moved overseas. The role will be tailored for the right person and their ability.

You must be someone with attention to detail and able to learn new things quickly. We are big advocates of streamlining processes and automating systems where appropriate.

Accounts & Payroll

  • Enter and code invoices/receipts in Dext
  • Enter and code inventory purchases in Dear/Cin7 (inventory management system)
  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs within inventory (including freight, etc)
  • Reconcile transactions in Xero
  • Prepare weekly payroll in iPayroll
  • File monthly GST returns
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports - P&L, Balance Sheet
  • Update actual cash flow vs forecast (monthly)
  • Maintain and update fixed asset register
  • Prepare information for quarterly investor reporting
  • Assist with various aspects of capital raising - we are a venture capital backed startup

Office Admin

  • General office admin - ordering groceries & supplies, picking up urgent items, coordinating vehicle maintenance, building maintenance, etc.
  • Assist with tracking inwards goods
  • Organise team and investor events
  • Ad hoc support with HR related tasks
